LILY MYERS Peacefully, on September 25, 2003 at the Health Science Centre, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lily Myers, passed away at age 92 years. Mrs. Myers was a longtime resident of Transcona. She was a great Rebekah member and in her younger years, an avid curler. She found great contentment in her home, and especially enjoyed the summers spent at Malachi with her family and friends. Mrs. Myers loved her church, St. Georges, and was an active member of the Womens Guild. Lily was predeceased by her husband William in 1977, her granddaughter, Catherine Ruth Peck, and also by two brothers and four sisters. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Carolyn Peck; son Robert Franklin Myers; and grandson Michael (Pamela) Peck of Oakville, ON; great-grandchildren, Melanie and Matthew of Oakville; two sisters, Gertie McCormick of Winnipeg and Ruth Nicholson of Cambridge, ON. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, with Rev. John Holmen officiating. Interment at the family plot, Transcona Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
