AUDREY FLOOD In loving memory of Audrey Flood, who died very suddenly on September 1, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Audrey was born in Lancashire, England in 1928 and graduated from St. Hildas College, Oxford University in 1960. She set sail for Canada and went to McGill University where she received an MA in 1963. She came to the Department of Political Science, United College (later University of Winnipeg) where she served as an assistant and associate professor until her retirement in 1999. She is remembered as an avid reader and scholar of her discipline and as a devoted and enthusiastic teacher. Outside the University, she was on the board of the Manitoba Telephone System and directed the Legislative Interns program of the Manitoba Legislature. She will be missed by colleagues, friends, former students and her sister Jean Ashcroft. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Audrey Flood Scholarship Fund, University of Winnipeg, 515 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2E9. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel, University of Winnipeg, all are welcome.
