DOMENICO PELLEGRINO Peacefully at the St. Boniface General Hospital, on October 12, 2003, Domenico Pellegrino passed away at the age of 83 years. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Antonio (Letizia), Gennaro (Domenica), and Michelina (Antonio) grandchildren, Domenico (Angela), Gennaro, Domenico (Loredana), Antonio (Brandy), Giovanni, Domenico (Rina), and Giuseppe; great-grandchildren, Antonio, Dante, Angelina, and Gennaro; and many relatives in Italy, Canada, United States, and Australia. Domenico was predeceased by his loving wife Caterina. Domenico was born in S. Mango dAquino, Catanzaro, Italy, on January 16, 1920, where he lived until May 15, 1978. Together with his wife, he joined the rest of his family in Winnipeg where he has lived ever since. Domenico was a loving father and grandfather, and a devoted husband. He was well respected by his friends through his generosity and compassion for others. He was always a true gentleman with his family and friends and he will be missed by all who knew him. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano Presiding at the Eucharist. Entombment to follow in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. Pallbearers will be Domenico Pellegrino, Gennaro Pellegrino, Domenico Pellegrino, Antonio Pellegrino, Giovanni Fiorillo, Domenico Fiorillo and Giuseppe Fiorillo. The family wishes to thank the staff at both the St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the Tuxedo Villa ExtendiCare for their professional care and compassion.
