EMMA RACHEL MUNRO SIME (MACKAY) Peacefully, with family by her side, Rae passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at the age of 74, after a brief battle with cancer. Rae will be sadly missed by her husband of 45 years Russ; daughter Renee, husband Don and their daughter Mandi; daughter Vera and children, Lisa, Jamie and Jonathan; son Fraser, wife Joy and their children, Raurie and Ian; daughter Fiona and partner Goran; sister Cathie; brothers, Bill and Ian; nieces and nephews including Sheila, Angela and Sandra. Rae was predeceased by her parents and sister Anita. Rae was born in Cajamarca, Peru in 1929. She lived in Great Britain until moving to Canada in 1954. Rae and Russ were married in May, 1958 in Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Ward 7A South in the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care of wife, Mum and dear friend. At Raes request, in lieu of a service there will be an open house on Sunday, December 21 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 112 Bernadine Cres. to reminisce, share stories and celebrate her life.
