MELVIN KENNETH FARLEY It is with deep sadness that the family of Ken Farley announce his passing on January 6, 2004, at the age of 56 years. Predeceased by his parents, Ken and Muriel Farley; brother George; his wife Sandra and son Kevin. Left to cherish his memory are his son Curtis (Jen Yip) wife Margaret (Jason and Jessica) brother Lee and sister Lorna; as well as many other family members and friends. Ken spent his formative years in Montreal and moved to Alberta with his young family in the late 70s where he lived until moving to Winnipeg in 2002 to be married and start a new chapter in his life. A compassionate and gentle person, he made numerous personal and business friends along the way. Ken had a way of making people feel that they had his undivided attention, caring, and love, and was always ready to go that extra step to help. He will be sadly missed. The family wishes to thank all the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, as well as the 3rd floor nurses and aids at Concordia Hospital for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Saviours Anglican Church, 690 Munroe Ave., East Kildonan. Reception to follow at the church. As expression of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Kens memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9, or Concordia Hospital Foundation Inc., 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2K 3S8. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
