Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW SKOLNY On Friday, February 13, 2004, Andrew Skolny, aged 94 years, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Andrew was born February 6, 1910 in Silver, MB. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Lena (nee Kuzenko) on July 4, 2003. He was also predeceased by his father and mother, Wasyl and Anna; sister Jean; sister Mae Negrych; brother Michael; sister Olga Hucall and brother Steve. Left to mourn his passing, are nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. After graduation from Arborg High School, he became a butter maker and also worked in Customs and Immigration in southern and western Manitoba. He then worked in construction for three years. Andrew moved to Winnipeg and worked as a stationery engineer at the St. Regis Hotel for 17 years until his retirement. Andrew met Lena in Komarno, and they were married in 1938. They were members at the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and he was very proud to be a Cantor for the church for many years. He was also a member of the Order of St. Andrew. Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main St. with Rev. Fr. A. Harkavyi officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. VICHNAYA PAMYAT CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
