VALENTINA de SOUSA Peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 Valentina de Sousa, aged 86 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Antonio, entered into her eternal rest at the Maples Personal Care Home. Valentina leaves to cherish her memory, and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Maria Silva (Manuel), Joao Farias (Maria), Valentina Tavares (Manuel), Jose Farias (Maria) seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members, and many, many friends both here in Canada and Portugal. Valentina was predeceased by her husband Antonio in 1969; son Manuel Antonio in 1994; and her brother Antonio Sousa also in 1994. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 12, at 5:00 p.m. (viewing/visitation after prayers until 8:00 p.m.) at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. North, with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. At this time the family would like to extend their sincere thanks, and appreciation to all of our family, extended family, and friends for all of their prayers, support, and kindness, with special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, and Maples Personal Care Home.
