GEORGETTE LUCIENNE SOURISSEAU (nee LAPOINTE) Peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 Georgette Sourisseau passed away at Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her loving husband Pierre in 1995 and her parents, Richard Lapointe and Marie (nee Courchesne). She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Simone; sons, Ray (Linda), Gerry (Gail) and Norm (Janet) along with her grandchildren, Lisa (Keith), Martie (Robb), Matthew (Michelle), Kim, Todd, Ryan and Brent; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Morgan and Noah. Georgette was born on September 16, 1921 in LaSalle, MB. She lived there until she met her husband Pierre with whom she moved to Winnipeg where they lived for many years raising their four children. Georgette enjoyed travelling with her husband over the years, visiting such places as Hawaii, Mexico, New Orleans, and Memphis along with many other destinations across Canada. Georgette and Pierre moved to St. Malo, MB in the early 1980s where they lived together until 1995 spending many happy years by the lake. Georgette moved back to Winnipeg in 1996 where she lived for the remainder of her life. Recently she resided at Foyer Valade in St. Vital. The family would like to thank the staff at Foyer Valade and Deer Lodge for the care and compassion they showed to Georgette. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Gathering to follow in the Heritage Room at Green Acres. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georgettes memory to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
