IRENE FISHER May 9, 1915 - April 8, 2004 Early on the morning of April 8, 2004, Irene Fisher (formerly of Winnipeg) passed away peacefully at the Sherwood Park Care Centre in Sherwood Park, AB. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 1996, she will be sadly missed by her two sons, Stanley (Irene) of Sherwood Park and Brian (Joyce) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Charlene (Kelvin Burnett) of Acton, ON, Craig (Stephanie) of Sherwood Park, Michael (Laura) of Tampa, FL, Warren (Bridgett) of Winslow, ME, and Alison (Michael Kirby) of Salt Lake City, UT; and great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Cole (Craig), Chante (Charlene), Abigail and Andrew (Michael), Bryanna and Jacob (Warren) and Christian (Alison). The youngest of nine, Irene was predeceased by her brothers, Albert and Delmar; and her sisters, Grace, Ernie, Lovina, Gertrude, Phyllis and Doris. Born in Teulon, MB, Irene married Robert of Winnipeg and together their life adventures led them to Toronto (45 years) and then back to Winnipeg. After Robert passed away, Irene relocated to Sherwood Park. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with Rev. Bill Oakley officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
