Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN SLUSARENKO October 31, 1933 - May 22, 2004 The family of John Slusarenko sadly announces his passing on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Pauline Slusarenko (nee Sulyk) son Gordon; and brother Mike. He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory his loving wife of 49 years, Diana; his children, Patsy (Danny), Paul (Debbie), Johnny (April), Joe (Angie), and Georgia (James) sisters, Mary (Fred) Eggett and Marian (Jim) Smith; brothers, Joe (Leona) and Billy (Lorette) and Paul. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and good friends. John was born and raised in Winnipeg. He worked for the C.N.R. for over 15 years before moving over to Burns Foods for the remainder of his working career. In his retirement, John enjoyed golfing and fishing and especially spending time with his family. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make a donation in Johns memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3G 1S6 as a token of remembrance. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow.
