MURRAY LEE STEVENSON (1949 - 2004) It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Murray Lee Stevenson announce his sudden passing on Monday, May 24, 2004. He is survived by his wife Erna; daughters, Candice (Scott) and Debbie; grandchildren, Erik, Alex and Matthew; brothers, Allan (Dorothy), Roy (Sharon) mother-in-law Tina Naslund; and special family friend Gloria Penner. Murrays greatest joys were his three grandchildren. Over the years he also took great pleasure in coaching and umpiring baseball at Gateway Community Club and working as a backyard mechanic with friend, Mr. Bill. Murray was an avid collector of sports memorabilia and friends and family were always impressed with his knowledge of sports trivia. He also took great pride in his collection of movies. The family would like to thank Dr. Rubinger, Joanne Loughery and all the BMT unit at CancerCare Manitoba for the great care given to Murray over the past three and a half years. As well, special thanks to Loewen Windows in Steinbach for the support and concern extended to Murray during his illness. There will be an evening service at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler (668-3151), at 7:00 p.m., May 28 to honour Murray. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Murrays memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
