HAROLD SMITH Peacefully, on Friday, June 18, 2004, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Harold Smith, beloved husband of Roberta Smith, passed away at the age of 70 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Irene and two brothers, Bill and Roy. Harold leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years Roberta (Nee Carrington) his children: Danny (Kim), Michael (Twhyla) and Christine; his grandchildren, David and Kevin; as well as many relatives and friends. Harold was a sales supervisor at Crown Zellerbach then settled with Duffys Taxi until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed bowling, bird watching, his sports and travelling especially to Yuma, AZ in the winter months. Harold spent many hours in his garden and puttering in the garage. Harold was a great husband, father and grandfather; he cherished his family more than anything. The family would like to thank the Palliative care at the St. Boniface General Hospital for their compassion and kindness. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23 at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harolds memory to the CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
