Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNESTO TAVARES November 13, 1935 - July 8, 2004 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Ernesto Tavares on July 8, 2004. After a long and lengthy illness he peacefully left this world with his family by his side. Left to cherish his memory are, his wife Maria of 47 years; children, Margaret (Augustino), Lionel (Sherry), Peter, Paula (Rob) grandchildren, Amanda, Mathew, Travis, Nicholas and Krystofer; sister Eduarda of Boston, MA; and sisters-in-law, Gilda and Maria da Luz; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ernesto was predeceased by his parents, Jose and Henriquita; brothers, Arthur, Manuel, Jose; and sister Gilda. Dad worked most of his life in the carpentry trade, he had the strong hands of an angel that could make anything into something, his skills were unsurpassed. We will miss his strength of spirit, his courage to face lifes difficulties, his unselfishness and caring nature of everyone around him. The family would like to thank Victoria General Hospital for all the special care and kindness that was shown to Dad. Prayers will be held Tuesday, July 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H.,V.F. presiding. Interment will take place at Holy Family Cemetery, 4355 Main St. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ernestos memory to a charity of ones choice. "You will be in our hearts forever Papa" CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Dad I cant believe it's been 16 years today since you went to heaven, I miss and think of you every single day. I wish you could have met your grandson Alijah, but I know you are looking down on us and keeping watch over him.
