Date of Passing: Aug 17, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE ELIZABETH PIETRACCI (nee FARINA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Elsie on August 17, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Sandy, Janet, Carol and husband Tom; her grandchildren, James, Anthony, Matthew and Julia; sisters, Margaret and Dorothy; brothers, Walter and Jimmy; nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Catherine and brother, Morris. Elsie was born on June 23, 1932 in Zdoda, MB, and after spending her youth joyfully on the farm, she came to Winnipeg to finish her education. She married Joe in 1951, settled in North Kildonan and raised their daughters. Elsie enjoyed working with the public which led her to a career in the public service. She was a passionate traveller, gardener, artist, homemaker, super Mom and Grandma. She will be sadly missed, but her memory will continue in our hearts. The family would like to thank friend Jo-Anne and staff of the 5th Floor U2 at Seven Oaks Hospital. A Celebration of Elsies life will be held on Saturday, August 21, at 11:00 a.m. (reception to follow) at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Prayers to be said Friday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m. also at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a memorial contribution may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., R3C 9Z9.
