Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN STEUART (nee WEBB) September 8, 1927 - September 7, 2004 Peacefully at home, Jean passed away at the age of 76. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Warren; her children, Susan (Norbert) Van Deynze, Rob (Linsday), Wendy (Garnet) Howlett; grandchildren, Jennifer (Roger) Tichit and their children, Reiden and Tristen, Jason, Jaclyn (Eric) Hojnocki, Jody (Paul), Dylan (Bronwyn) and their children, Kael and Troy, Cole, Kelsey, Rory, Kirby and Kristy; siblings, Jack Webb, Marjorie MacIver, Dorothy Drope, Nancy MacLean and spouses; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jean was born in Cincinnati, OH and shortly after, moved to Winnipeg where she lived most of her life. She attended school at Kelvin and later Nurses College. She worked at the Health Sciences Centre Womens Pavilion for many years. She loved to work with the infants. She was a very active person who enjoyed golfing, curling, swimming at the lake, and downhill skiing in the mountains (until 75 years of age). Jean loved to knit and do ceramics, an art she learned from her mother. She was a warm, compassionate person who always considered others before herself. She especially loved and cared for her family. She will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank the homecare workers and the staff at Deer Lodge Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Albans Anglican Church, 486 Rathgar Ave. (off Osborne Street) with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba, Room N108-2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3.
