SONNY PETER NATURKACH It is with great sadness that our family announces the suddenly unexpected passing of Sonny, on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the age of 45. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Cindy; sons Jonathon and Michael and loving and faithful pet Marshall. Sonny also leaves behind two brothers, Raymond (Yolanda) and Myron (Gisele) five sisters, Lovey (Peter Netrval), Christine (Jack Condon), Carol (Don Konyk), Michelle (Rick Wray) and Tanya; seven nieces, six nephews, four great nephews and two great nieces; brother-in-law Kristian (April). Sonny was predeceased by his parents Michael and Nellie and in laws Shirley and Ole Olafson. Sonny also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, close friends Ken Carton, Marcel Saumier, Brian Mann and many others. Sonny was born August 18, 1959 in Vita, MB. Moved to Thompson, MB at an early age where through high school enjoyed sports, such as Junior A Hockey, baseball, broomball and basketball. After graduation he worked for Manitoba Hydro and INCO, for a short period of time, before he finally settled into a career with the Dept. of National Defense in Shilo. Sonny also volunteered as an EAP counsellor, giving kind words and guidance for approximately 16 years. Sonny was an open hearted individual, always available at a drop of a hat for his many family, friends, neighbours and strangers alike. Come winter if he wasnt coaching hockey or standing in an arena, you could find him outdoors snowblowing the neighborhood. Summers he enjoyed golfing. Sonny will be deeply missed by all. Viewing will be held on Friday, October 1, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Brockie Donovan Funeral Home, 322-8th Street, Brandon, MB. A celebration of Sonnys life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, Central United Church, 327-8th Street, Brandon, MB. Urn Bearers will be Jonathon Naturkach, Michael Naturkach and Ryan Wilson. Funeral arrangements by Brockie Donovan Ltd.
