Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH LOEWEN We as a family and friends experienced the heartfelt loss of a loved one when Ken passed away suddenly on October 18, 2004 at his home. Kenneth Robert Loewen was born March 4, 1968 in Steinbach, MB. He grew up in Kleefeld and spent most of his life there. Ken accepted Jesus as his Saviour and was baptized as a teenager at the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Kleefeld. He was an active member in the church. He had just started teaching the junior high boys Sunday School class. Ken love to play hockey and always did from childhood on. When not playing hockey, Ken would be on the ice as a referee. Ken was a very well liked man. He would always find a friend wherever he went. He would always welcome you and make you feel comfortable and at home. When children were around, Ken would always notice them and make an effort to talk to them. Other than his faith, Kens most precious gift was the love he had for his wife and their precious girls. Ken will be sadly missed by many friends and his loving family. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Angela; his daughters, Elizabeth, Alyssa and Jaime; his parents, Gladwin and Tina Loewen of Kleefeld; his sister Iris, her husband Bob Bartel and their family; paternal grandparents, Peter R. and Tina Loewen; maternal grandparents. Peter S. and Agatha Giesbrecht; his parents-in-law, Lee and Leona Baker of Steinbach; his sisters-in-law, Cindy, her husband Rob Fender and their family; Crystal Auch and her family; and many more relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Kleefeld on Friday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at the church cemetery.
