ROBERT BOB SQUANCE December 27, 1944- November 16, 2004 Peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, Bob passed away at the age of 59 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Catherine Squance; and daughter Virginia. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Robin; children, Justin (Michelle), Kim Belinda, Jolene (Ryan) grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Victoria, Garret, Danja, Summer and Jenna; siblings, Margaret (Norman) James, Catherine (Arthur) Pearson and Bill (Joyce) numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bob was born and raised in Grandview, MB. In 1968, Bob went to Australia to work where he met and married his loving wife Robin in 1969. Shortly after returning to Canada, they purchased the Petro Canada on Stafford Street and have owned and operated the business for 35 years. Bob attended all the Jets games and was a member of the booster club where they met many friends whom they are still close with. Bob loved showing people his favorite place, Las Vegas. He also enjoyed many other trips with family and friends. Dad will be remembered for his sense of humour and his generosity. Papa loved his grandchildren and the little cuties will miss him deeply. The family would like to thank Dr. Seftel, Dr. Rubinger, Hong Wei, Oksana and Nancy, and the staff of GD6 at the Health Sciences Centre. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. with reception to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
