Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA VANDE GRAAF January 31, 1911 - January 18. 2005 Peacefully with her family by her side, Anna passed away at Oakview Place Care Home. She was predeceased by her husband Leo in February of 1990, and two daughters-in-law, Celine and Merle. Anna was the the last member of her generation of the Vanden Heuvel and Vande Graaf families from Holland. She will be lovingly remembered by her six children, Gerry, Bert (Sherry), Ann, Ted (Jeannette), Frank (Bonnie) and Peter (Francine); her 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Anna and Leo immigrated to Canada with their family in 1949. They spent many hard working and enjoyable years raising their family in the St. Eustache, MB area. Retirement brought them to Warren, MB, where they spent their time gardening and enjoying their grandchildren who always looked forward to Grandma's special treats of Kool-Aid slushes or sugary tea. Their door was always open to the frequent visitors who were warmly welcomed and rarely left without something from the kitchen or garden. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakpark Manor in Woodlands for their thoughtfulness and warmth during the seven years that Mom lived there, and the staff at Oakview Place for their loving care, attention and cheerfulness over the last three years. Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held at this time. A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
