SILVERIO GONZALES SR. departed from us peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital at 79 years of age. He was predeceased by his wife Ana Valencia Gonzales; by his sons, Generozo and Danilo Gonzales and by his son-in-law Raul Silpao. Silverio Gonzales Sr. will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his children, Gregoria and Rudy Fernandez, Cecilia Silpao, Larry and Corozon Manalili, Linda Gonzales, Arsenio and Narcisa Crisostomo and also by all his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren residing in the Philippines; and from his family here in Canada - Ben and Lota Martin, Marylin Gonzales, Steve and Cristy Quon, Silverio Jr. and Susan Gonzales, Romarico (Rommel) Gonzales, Rezzy Gonzales, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitations (lamay) will be held on Monday, January 24 and Tuesday, January 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Knysh Funeral Home (1020 Main St., Winnipeg, MB, Phone: 582-0973). Funeral mass and service will be officiated by Fr. Michael Vince at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church (748 Keewatin St.) on Wednesday, January 26, 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Special thanks are extended from the family and friends to the staff of unit 2 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care of Silverio Gonzales Sr. during his stay. FATHER: We will miss your unique way of showing us your love and affection. We appreciate that you have brought us into this world and that you helped our mother mould our upbringing. You have welcomed and accepted our husbands and wives without prejudice. By your guidance through the years, you have strengthened our courage in life. Thank you for your kindness, generosity and dependability! You are now in eternal bliss with Jesus our Lord and lovingly welcomed by your beloved wife, sons and parents.
