ROY ALLAN STEPPLER, beloved husband of Lynne Steppler of Miami, MB passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Boundary Trails Health Centre after a short battle with cancer. Roy was born May 13, 1935, the eldest of eight children born to Arnold and Edna Steppler. Roy was predeceased by his brother Clair in 1960 and his father Arnold in 1970. Roy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lynne; his children, Debbie and Bill Thiessen of Brandon, Dale and Caroline of Miami, Heather and Randy Unger of Plum Coulee; seven grandchildren, Vicki and Neil Neary, Nolan Thiessen, Ryan, Dean and Craig Steppler, Riley and Blaine Unger and great-grandson Andrew Neary. Also his mother Edna Steppler, brothers, Raymond and Cassel, Garry and Marilyn, Dan and Patsy; sisters, Betty and Stan Watkins, Judy and Don Labossiere, Marion Bund; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family requests no flowers and would appreciate donations to the Miami Curling Club, Box 154, Miami, MB R0G 1H0. Roy and his dad helped build the curling club which remains a focal point for his children, grandchildren and the community. A reception will be held at the Miami Community Centre on Tuesday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place. To those I've left behind. You held my hand...
