GENEVIEVE (JAN) KWASNY (JAWORSKI) It is with deep sorrow that the family of Genevieve announce her passing. She was a terrific sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Frances Jaworski; sister Eleanor Nichol; brother Ted Jaworski; brother-in-law Ted Wright; dear friends Helen and Nick Miga and Alma Thompson. Genevieve is survived by her sisters Mary Jaworski, Pearl Wright and Theresa Wojcikowski (Herman); her brother Joe Jaworski (Yvonne); sister-in-law Monica Jaworski and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are her special friends Joy Lawrence, Wayne Thompson and family, Dolores and Ed Sitarz and family and her dear Miga children. Genevieve was born in Tyndall, MB and received her schooling there. In 1952 she joined the Bank of Montreal, retiring in 1986. Jan was a long time member of Holy Ghost Church and the Catholic Women's League. She was a kind and compassionate person who loved life. Jan was devoted to God and the Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family thanks the dear nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital at U1, U2 and U3 for the loving care they gave Jan during her illness. We would also like to thank the spiritual care worker Erica Block, RN Vivian, Dr. N. Finlayson for his loving care as well as the staff at CancerCare Manitoba. The Rosary will be said on Thursday, February 10 at 12:30 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with Rev. Fr. Antoni Degutis, OMI officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
