EMIL STERDAN Suddenly on June 1, 2005, Emil Sterdan passed away at his home at age 84 years. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2000. Emil's memory will be cherished by his sons, Grant (Anne) and Michael (Cathy); grandchildren, Julie (Eddie) Popke, Tracy and Mark; sisters-in-law, Anne Sterdan and Lena Triethart (of Minneapolis); brother-in-law, Anthony Stachiw (of Ottawa). Emil was born in rural Manitoba and was educated, raised and lived the rest of his life in Winnipeg. He worked his entire career in Winnipeg's garment industry before retiring in 1983 with Rice Sportswear. Emil was very devoted to his family and very much enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren. To the time of his passing he was blessed with good health, which enabled him to live independently and enjoy life on his terms. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Don Engel officiating. Private interment will be held. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Emil's memory to a charity of choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
