JENNALEE FINNSSON It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Jennalee Finnsson aged 12 years old on June 20, 2005 at her home in Arborg. Jenna is survived by her mother Cathy (Glen), grandparents Martin and Josie Horvath of Arnes, Uncle Doug Lamont (Naoko) and cousin Tem of Tokyo Japan, great aunties Marge Finnsson and Mary Horvath of Arborg and numerous relatives and close friends. Jennalee was born February 1, 1993 in Winnipeg at St. Boniface Hospital and was medically fragile. For all of us, Jenna was an inspiration and pure joy. She was so loved and we did our best to spoil her. She had made such an impact on so many peoples' lives without even knowing it. She taught us patience, the value of life, compassion, pure love and gave us courage and wisdom. We had the fortune of loving her for 12 years longer than we thought we ever would. The family wishes to extend our gratitude to all the Jenna's caregivers for their love and support, professional care and kindness over the past 12 years, Rena Bergman, Grace Tyluk, Charisse Phelps, Sue Walalce, Jen Sigvaldason, Karen Foster, Nadine Sigvaldason, Sue Holm, Bev Plett, Josephine Kristjanson and Shirley Jonasson. We would also like to express gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff at Arborg Hospital, Arborg Community Health Office, Dr. Gina Remple, Dr. Jack McPherson, Jane, Cathy, Lois, Don and Gregg at the Rehab Centre for Children, Dr. Postuma at Children's Hospital and staff at Respiratory Clinic HSC, Dr. Nigel MacDonald at St. Boniface Hospital, Dr. Dobbs, Dr. Hosegood, Jim at Rana-Medical, nurses at day surgery, The Cerebral Palsy Association and AEMY School. You were all so instrumental in helping us care for Jenna and made it easy. Jenna is now at peace and leaves behind so many fond memories. You've left your wheelchair and oxygen tank at the Heaven's gate, I know you are running free and breathing with ease, smiling down on us. I can still hear you giggles but my heart and my arms feel so empty without you. Jennalee, you were my inspiration, my strength and purpose in life.... Daughter..... today and always, please know that I see the path you've made that's all you own. I see the many unique gifts you have to share. I see your hurt sometimes, your soft pure innocence, your unconditional goodness. I see what a difference you made in this world and I hope you know how very much I love you and how proud I'll always be to have a daughter as wonderful as you... If so desired, donations may be made in Jenna's memory to Arborg and District Health Centre, Rehab Centre for Children in Winnipeg or to one's own choice. A memorial service will be held in July 2005.
