Date of Passing: Jun 16, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL FERGUSON (nee KINSMAN) It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Hazel. Peacefully, on Thursday, June 16, 2005, with her family at her side, Hazel died at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 92 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her nephew Jimi Kinsman, wife Dayna, great-nephews, Geoff, Eric and Gordie Kinsman and great-niece Laura Kinsman. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Kinsman; and long time friend Elsie Westman. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Donald Ferguson; father Joe Kinsman in 1954; mother Amy Kinsman in 1929; and brother Harold Kinsman in 1994. Although Hazel never had children of her own, she raised her brother Harold at an early age, after the passing of her mother. She was also a caregiver to Jimi Kinsman. Hazel loved her nephews and niece and was always thrilled when they came to visit. She belonged to the Fort Rouge Seniors Club and loved going on trips. Hazel had been a resident of Winnipeg all of her life. In keeping with Hazel's wishes, no formal funeral service was held. A special thank you to the staff at Victoria General Hospital, Pembina Place Personal Care Home and the emergency staff at St. Boniface General Hospital for their care and consideration in Hazel's final hours.
