Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryATHENA GEORGIADES On July 5, 2005 at the Grace General Hospital, Athena Georgiades passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side. Athena was born on the island of Ikaria in Greece and immigrated to Alexandria, Egypt at a young age, moving to Cyprus in 1963 and came to Winnipeg 11 years later. She was predeceased by her husband Charalambos. She leaves to mourn her daughter Stella Iacovide and son-in-law Chris; her grandchildren, Harris and Stavros Iacovides and Stavro's fiancee Kim O'Brien. She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Vasso Vassiciadis of Winnipeg and her brother Stefanos Kouvaris of Greece. A special thanks is extended to the dedicated staff of the 5th floor of the Grace General Hospital. We shall miss her keen mind, high energy, dedication to her family, good cheerful disposition and her love of God. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Grant and Shaftesbury. Funeral service will be held also in the church on Friday, July 8 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Dimitrios Gianniou officiating.
