Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIMONE SPELIERS (nee SCOYS) Peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at St. Boniface Hospital, Simone Speliers passed away at the age of 83 years. She will be sadly missed by her son Georges (Sue); grandchildren, Jacques (Susan), Christine (Len) Newman; great-grandchildren, Jean-Luc, Alexa, Bethany, Jordan, Faith, Sean, and Crystal; as well as numerous relatives in Belgium. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years Louis in 2001, her parents, and by six brothers. Simone was a devoted wife, mother, and memere to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed life and was very active up until ill health prevented her from doing so. She was also a member of the Belgium Veterans Legion, Branch 107 R.C.L. and was a member of Le Club Belge. Prayer vigil will be held on Sunday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 avenue de la Cathedrale. Interment will follow in the Belgian Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the volunteers and nursing staff on 2ABC Centre Tache Centre, and to the Emergency staff at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 2nd Flr. 629 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
