CHRISTINA MCMURCHY (RHEAULT) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Christina on August 15, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital surrounded by her family. Christina was predeceased by her husband Colin (Mac) in 1992. She leaves to mourn her two sons, Paul (Heather) and Roland (Suz); daughter Heather; sister Ellen and brother Tony, as well as five grandchildren. Mom immigrated to Winnipeg from Elderslie, Scotland in 1946 and worked for The Bay for 25 years. She had a flair for fashion and an eye for colour and was constantly sought after for her design opinions. She was blessed with long standing friendships over the years. She loved to knit and read, and her home was her palace. Christina's family is deeply grateful to the caring and compassionate staff at Victoria General Hospital (5th floor) during Mom's final days. The family also wishes to thank Dorothy and Scott for their friendship and care, as well as the wonderful home care workers who took care of Christina over the years which allowed her to remain in her own home for as long as possible. A special thank you goes to home care workers, Louise, Jocelyn and Brenda, for their many acts of kindness, love and support. In accordance with Christina's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. A private family ceremony will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, in Christina's name. Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint upon the snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain and I am the gentle autumn rain, When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand by my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 1531 Pembina Hwy. 284-7500
