RENE PERRON November 6, 1948 - September 4, 2005 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Rene will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 35 years, Paulette (Marion); his daughter Lynne (Carl Lenton); two sons, Marcel (Amber Traverse) and Jacques (Julia Peters); as well as his grandchildren, Sierra and Madison Lenton. He also leaves behind his dear mother Lucille Perron and brother Andre (Agnes) Perron. Rene grew up on a farm in Saint-Joseph and was always known as a hardworking man. He drove a school bus for 34 years and will be sadly missed by his coworkers and students alike. In his spare time Rene enjoyed hockey. He devoted many years to the sport as a player, coach and a founder of the Scratching River Hockey League. Rene was known by many, he always loved teasing and sharing a joke. He will be remembered for his sense of humour and curious nature. You Will Be Always Missed, Forever Loved, And Never Forgotten. Prayers will be said at the Morris Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing at the church prior to mass. Cremation will follow. Donations may be made in memory of Rene to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
