Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BIALEK July 30, 1932 - September 2, 2005 Peacefully, on September 2, 2005, surrounded by his loving wife, family and special friend June Fedorowich, John passed away at the age of 73. John was predeceased by his parents, Julian and Caroline Bialek, and a younger brother Casey. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rozalia. He will also be remembered his sisters, Betty (Stanley) Regula, Mary (Steve) Kowalchuk, Kathy Glowacki, Helen Bretchka, and Adeline (Nick) Swaluk; brothers, Bobby (Violet), Lawrence (Joan), Edward (Vicky). John will also be missed by numerous relatives and friends. John worked for many years with MTS and retired on his 55th birthday, July 30, 1987. John was diagnosed as having Shy-Drager Syndrome, which is an incurable baffling condition, which affects one in 10,000 people. John was very much aware that life on earth was a temporary assignment by God and very brief. He knew whatever possessions he acquired on earth were gifts from God and took extra special care of everything he had. John never boasted about his possessions, although he could have had anything he needed. John loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a happy person with a laugh and smile that was contagious. John was a very organized person; he loved a challenge and was ready to take on any task with great vigor. Because of John's love of nature, plant a tree in his memory. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Gerald Michaud officiating (former pastor at St. Boniface Hospital). The memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with interment and reception to follow. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses, especially nurses Bernadette, Gail, and Jenna who supported John and family during John's illness. Also, thank you to Fr. Gerald, Fr. Carl, Fr. Henry and SR. Cathy for their prayers and support. In lieu of flowers donations in John's name may be made to the Canadian Red Cross (1111 Portage Ave. R3G 0S8, 1-800-418-1111) for the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Nothing loved is ever lost, And he was loved so much. John and I were friends in our early teens, and I remember coming from a wedding in Beausejour to pick him up. He had just come from working the field, and complained that he didn't have any hot water to shave for attending the wedding. So, I drained some hot water from the radiator of my vehicle, and he was able to use it to shave, and so we attended the wedding. Sadly, I lost track of my good friend after joining the navy in 1952. My condolences to all the family,.God bless you all and John. In friendship, Don Adamek - Posted by: Don Adamek (Friend) on: Sep 08, 2005
