RINGENERA SUSANNA (SUSAN) VEENSTRA (nee STEENDAM) May 15, 1925 - September 9, 2005 Peacefully, on Friday, September 9, 2005, Ringenera Susanna went to be with the Lord at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her husband Tinus; brother Jasper Steendam; and sister Ruth Schriemer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Shelly (Al) Dibben, Jane (Harry) Brouwer, Ruth (Ben) Hendricks, Sabina (Gerry) Wyenberg, John Veenstra, Jasper (Lori) Veenstra, Nancy (Fred) Bosma and Maggie (Terry) Folkers; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Tjeerd (Martje) Steendam; sister Vicky Steendam; and sister-in-law Tina Hogeveen. Susan was born in Drachten, The Netherlands. In 1946 she married Tinus, and they immigrated to Canada in 1952. She was called Beppe by her grandchildren. Susan was a quiet, devoted wife and mother with a deep personal commitment to her Lord. She had a great compassionate and caring spirit for others. A private family interment will take place at Green Acres Cemetery. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Ave. with Pastor Bill Tuininga officiating. Thank you to the staff of 3E Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre and the staff of the Grace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. 1 Timothy 1:14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
