ANNE KOROLUK (DREWNIAK)

ANNE KOROLUK (nee DREWNIAK) On Thursday, September 8, 2005, at the age of 83, Anne completed her journey on earth. She is now reunited with her husband Alex; son Vernon; brother Tony; and parents, Nellie and Gabriel Drewniak. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Veronica Cushman; sons Dennis (Anne), Tom (Gail); grandchildren, Sean Cushman, Brett and Natalie Koroluk, Paige Koroluk; and great-grandson Deon Cushman. Anne was born in 1922 in Tolstoi, MB. She married Alex in 1943 and together they made their home in Rosa, MB. They farmed there for 14 years and in 1957 the family moved to Winnipeg. Anne was a longstanding member of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, belonging to the Women's League and Senior's Club. She was employed with Sears for over 25 years making many lifelong friends. She enjoyed petit point, knitting and was a great seamstress. Her greatest passion though was flower gardening, for which she and her husband won many horticultural awards. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, September 15 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
