Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRENDA LUPRYPA (nee ARNASON) It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda on September 9, 2005. Brenda left this world peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Danny; and her children, Samara, Tabitha and Danny-Jo; her dad Joe Arnason; her siblings, Dick Arnason (Kathy Marks), Carol MacDonald (Hugh), Terry Verbiwski (Barry), Leslie Arnason (Amy), Sheila Isfeld (Ron), Dwayne Arnason and Sandra MacVicar (Wayne); her mother-in-law Ann Lyprypa; brothers-in-law, Barry Luprypa (Eileen) and Alvin Luprypa; many nieces and nephews and numerous friends and relatives whom she loved. Her mother Clarice Arnason and father-in-law Walter Luprypa predeceased Brenda. Brenda was born in Gimli on January 10, 1953. She lived her entire life there and like most people who come from Gimli she knew Gimli was paradise. She had many lifelong friends who were with her on her life's journey. Brenda worked at Arnason Furniture for several years alongside her dad and brother Leslie. When the furniture store was lost to a fire, Brenda pursued a career in cosmetology. These past summers Brenda has operated a canteen on the Gimli beach known to all as Aunty B's. Brenda and Danny were married in 1973. They had three children who meant the world to them. Danny built his family beautiful homes over the years in Gimli as well as one at Willow Island. Their door was always open to everyone. Brenda was known for her famous cooking and baking, she never made one pie, she made 30. She was always feeding others. No one ever left her home without a measl. Brenda will be remembered for her many wonderful qualities. She had a kind heart and wa always very generous. Brenda was passionate about her volunteer work with special needs children and adults. She was a contact person for a support group for Downs Syndrome. Brenda has many talents, some include ceramics and sewing especially making Halloween costumes for her kids. The family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. R. C. Patel for the personal care he always gave Brenda. Many thanks to the staff at the Gimli Community Health Centre. Also, a special thanks to her dear friends, Janice Dey, Lyndon Albertson, Judy Arnason, Debbie Thordarson, Alexis Snider and others who have been a support to her. Brenda had many loyal friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Park Pavilion, with Padre Rainie McKinnon officiating. Cremation to follow. Her pallbearers will be her nephews, Jeffery and Johann Arnason and her brothers-in-law, Hugh MacDonald, Wayne MacVicar, Barry Verbiwski and Ron Isfeld. Those whom we love go out of sight, But never out of mind; They are cherished in the hearts Of those they leave behind. The clock of life is wound but once, And no man has the power, To tell of just when the hands will stop, Of what day - or what hour. Now is the only time you have, So live it with a will, Don't wait until tomorrow, The hand may then be still. Rest in Peace Our Dear Brenda In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics Gimli Swim Program, Box 1949, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0. To My Dear Children... When you go to sleep at night, say good night to me. I will always watch over you. Remember, if I am in your heart I will never be far away. Love You Forever - Mom Gilbart Funeral Home, in care of arrangements.

Brenda - I will always remember you from the time that you were small - in 1959-61 when your parents, Joe and Clarice & family resided right behind our home (Neil & Ethel Baldwinson's) in Gimli. You were like a loving mother to all the younger children, including ours. I will also remember your warm heart & kindness when my daughter (Colleen Baldwinson) & I visited you & Danny & family in your beautiful home in Gimli, & the lovely lunch you put on just for our visit. Our fond memories of you will always keep you near. Ethel Bergen - Posted by: Ethel Lilja Bergen (Acquaintance) on: Sep 14, 2005

There is very sadness in our hearts of Brenda. We moved to Gimli and Brenda and I were in Grade 5. I saw her last summer in Gimli. We as kids had a fun time growing up in Gimli. I remember at the Falcon Rest. She would have plain bag chips and put on salt and vinagar or ketchup/ wow she was ahead of our time. I could go on but we all know what we loved about her. Just a small note but Shawn's Mom passed away 2 weeks ago. Our prayers are with you all. Rick/Shawn/Pam Smith, Westbank, BC. Shawnskey_1@telus.net - Posted by: Rick Smith (Friend) on: Sep 11, 2005
