She also leaves to mourn Hazlitt's family and her extended family which includes numerous nieces, nephews and friends that were dear to her throughout her life. Mom was a caring and loving woman with strong moral values. She lived her life was devoted to God and her family. Her strong family values were expressed in the way in which she lived her life. These values were passed to her children and grandchildren through her words and by her actions. Mom and Sparky were avid nature lovers. They were in awe of the beautiful country in which they lived. They spent many times on adventures looking at the beauty of nature. Searching for wild flowers, picking berries and sitting by the majestic lakes that surround Flin Flon were a part of their daily life. They both shared a love of the great outdoors. Mom was proud of her rural roots. She spoke lovingly of growing up on the farm in Boggy Creek. Boggy Creek was a special place for her and her family. We loved going back there and seeing the beauty through her eyes. She was a mother not only to us as her family but to many of our friends who may have needed a hug or a meal. Mom made many friends easily from her childhood to her adult life. She kept and maintained life long friendships with the special people that touched her life. Mom was taken from us tragically and far too early. Her faith in God gives us all comfort that she is resting peacefully with the Lord. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 13 at 3:00 p.m. at St Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Flin Flon. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society or World Vision. Arrangements entrusted to: Dadson Funeral Home, Flin Flon, MB (www.dadsonfuneralhome.com)
