Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM FREDERICK DAVIS (VE4WU) September 27, 1921 - September 9, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill (William) with his wife and family at his side. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Mary of 58 years, who dedicated herself to ensure his comfort; also survived by his niece Elaine (Ray); special great-niece Chelsey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mitch and Mae Zooke; nieces, Brenda (Graham), Carol (Bert) and Joyce Stephenson; and numerous other nieces and nephews. As a Second World War veteran, Bill served in the Navy from 1940 to 1945, in charge of communications and decoding, a love he had since he was 15. He retired from the Winnipeg Post Office in 1985 after 32 years. Bill and his wife Mary enjoyed many years together doing one of their favourite pastimes, fishing. He was an active member of the Winnipeg Senior Citizen Amateur Radio Club and volunteered many hours of his time. He also spent many hours with his video camera as he had a great interest in photography. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Cancer Society. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the palliative care staff at Riverview and private home care staff. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard but always near, Always in our thoughts and loved forever. He put his arms around you and said Come unto Me. Top of the morning to you and the rest of the day to myself. WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
