VIOLA RENE KING In loving memory of Viola Rene King. Viola was born on February 22, 1929 to Joseph and Delila Lalonde in St. Boniface, MB. At 17 she married her war hero Henry and they spent 47 years together before his death. Viola helped her husband in the upholstery business and after the children started school she instructed at the Kinsman Center for special needs adults. She enjoyed this for many years before taking an early retirement. She spent many hours devouring books and crosswords. She was very knowledgeable in a great many subjects. The family spent many summers at the cottage in Manitoba amongst friends and family. She had a great love of animals and owned several Cocker Spaniels. Viola moved to Kelowna, BC a few years ago to be closer to her family. She will be missed by her children; DeAnn Lynn Webster (Gordon), Ronald King (Lori), her sister Junice Taylor; brothers Martin Lalonde (Elsie), Rudy Lalonde; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, numerous cousins; nieces; nephews and friends. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to B.C. Cancer Foundation 601 West 10th Ave, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 1L3. A public graveside service will be held on September 14, 2005 at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery at 10: 30 a.m. with Pastor Clare Neufeld officiating.
