JOHN RICHARD DAVIDSON On September 7, 2005, following a brief illness, John passed away at the Southlake Regional Health Care Centre in Newmarket, Ontario. Son of Lawrence Douglas and Joyce Davidson of Baldur, Manitoba, he is survived by his sisters Dorothy and Audrey Davidson. A graveside service will be held at Glencoe Cemetery, Cypress River at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16. John was born in Baldur on January 6, 1947, prior to there being a hospital in the area. He was delivered into the world by the town midwife of those years, Mrs. Peterson. He attended Huff School and Baldur High School before leaving to pursue a career in the construction industry. John was an honoured member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Union and the Asbestos Workers Union, working as a traveller and accepting projects around the world, visiting such far off locales as the Philippines and eastern Europe. John will be sadly missed by his family, friends and coworkers. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
