OLGA MCKALL (nee DACK) January 14, 1914 - September 11, 2005 Peacefully, at the Poseidon Care Centre, Olga McKall entered eternal rest, at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1993; son David in 1986; sisters, Lena King and Julia Miller. She is survived by her daughter Joan (Ernie Shume) of Winnipeg; son Walter (Marcia) of Edmonton; daughter-in-law Janice of Guelph, ON; grandchildren, Ambra (Tim Kostyniuk) of Ottawa, Teresa (Wil Shynkaruk) of Moorhead, MN, Kimberly (Ben Faienza) of Guelph, Darren (Julianne) of Toronto, Craig (Joanne) of London, England, Janine and Kathryn of Edmonton; ten great-grandchildren, Daniel, Anna and Laura Kostyniuk, Quinn and Reid Shynkaruk, Mathew, Daniela and Justin Faienza, Michael McKall and Connor McKall; and sisters, Anne Sergewich of Toronto and Stephanie Purcell of Los Angeles. Olga was a lifelong resident of St. Boniface. She married Michael on May 7, 1938. They built their home on Goulet Street and lived there for many years. In her younger years, she spent many summer days at the family cottage at Poplar Bay where many family meals were enjoyed. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and playing cards. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road with Rev. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Thank you to the 3rd Floor staff at Poseidon Care Centre for their understanding and caring. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Olga's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R2B 2H8.
