ANNE SAWATZKY 1908 - 2005 Anne Sawatzky of Winnipeg passed away peacefully on September 12, 2005 with some of her family in attendance at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 96 years. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Shirley and Ert Peters (Sheryl and Wayne Sutter); Joanne and Jack Boyd (John, Jeff and Theresa), great-grandchildren, Rachel and Marcus; and Sabrina Port. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank Sawatzky in 1999, son Frank Wayne in infancy, Colin Port and granddaughter Gaylyn Peters. She is survived by sister Helen Zuchowski (nee Friesen) and brother Bill (Donna) Friesen. She accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and was baptized at age 17 and joined the EMB Church in Steinbach. Because of her husband's construction business they moved to Winnipeg in 1951 and have resided there ever since. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB. Interment at Memorial Cemetery in Steinbach. If friends so desire donations may be made to Canadian Sunday School Mission or to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
