Cecil was born on May 4, 1929 in Eden, MB. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Rose and Martin McCaig; sisters, Bernice Loxton, Cecile Janik, Helen Levandoski, Mona Fisher; and brothers, Tony, John and Mark McCaig. Cecil was employed with Standard Dairies and the Liquor Control Commission before he went into his own catering business. Cecil's life revolved around his family and his ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was an avid handyman and gardener who loved to share his garden vegetables with friends and neighbours. He had a keen sense of humour and liked to joke around with everyone he met. He had a passion for travelling in his motor home throughout Canada and the United States. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17 at the Kingdom Hall, East Side, 1060 Wolever Ave., at 1:00 p.m. and burial with reception to follow at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Our family would like to thank the Concordia Hospital Staff and Dr. Mohammed for all their care and support.
