Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOMINIK ISKIERSKI 1920 - 2005 After a lengthy illness, with family at his side, Dominik passed away at St. Joseph's Residence on Monday, September 12, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Stanislawa; his children, Henry (Debbie), Richard (Debbie), Zygmunt (Karen) and Emily; grandchildren, Nicholas, Robert, Jennifer, Monika, Kristy, Carly, Daniel, Timothy and Janina; nephew Janek Kotowicz (Halina), all of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Frances (British Columbia); sister-in-law Janina (Poland), along with numerous nieces and nephews across Canada and Poland. He was predeceased by his parents, Franciszek and Franciszka (Dyba); brothers, Michal, Jozef and Stanislaw; and sisters, Janka and Stephania. Dominik was born in Haluszczynce, Poland on February 23. After serving with the Polish Army during the Second World War, he immigrated to Canada in 1947 and was married February 20, 1949 at Holy Ghost Church. Dominik was also a member of the Polish Combatants Association, S.P.K. No. 13. The family wish to express their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph's Residence for their compassionate care over the past six years. A special thank you to Ed K. for helping dad on weekday mornings when we couldn't be there. God bless you all. Henry, Zyg and their families would like to express their sincere appreciation to their sister Emily for her daily dedicated commitment, she has given Dad over the past seven years. You have truly earned your wings. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. with viewing half hour prior to service at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating.
