Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET (PEGGY) ALLAN (nee CAMERON) Peacefully, with her family by her side, on September 13, 2005 at the Salvation Army Grace Hospice, Peggy passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1995. Left to mourn are daughters, Bernie and Glenda-lee and son Eric (Marylin); as well as her five grandchildren, Allan (Michele), Chris (Melissa), Dale (Faith) and Greg and Nicole; and her six great-grandchildren who were the light of her life - Savanna, Cheyenne, Zachary, Dawson, Joshua and Seth. She also leaves behind two sisters, Ethel (Bob) Gatenby, and Lottie Colbow and her brothers and sisters-in-law - Barbara and Jack Lamb, Joe and Roberta Allan, Margaret and Hartley Woodward, Janice and Glen Smith, Harvey and Rita Allan, Cathy Allan and Mabel Spender; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy was also predeceased by her daughter Beverly in 2004 as well as her sister Ruth Jorgenson and two brothers Albert and Alan Cameron. Peggy was born May 18, 1922 at Sybouts, SK to Albert and Bertha Cameron. In 1948, she married Walter and raised a family of four at the farm in Rathwell, MB. She was an active member and past president of the Rathwell Ladies Auxiliary. She had many hobbies including painting. Peggy was also a founding member of the Canadian Reform Party. Peggy moved to Winnipeg in 1998 to be closer to her family. One of her greatest joys was becoming a great-grandmother or GG as she wanted to be called. The family would like to thank staff at Riverview Health Centre and the Grace Hospice for the compassionate care mom received. Funeral services will be held at the Rathwell Community Hall on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Shepansky of Ness Avenue Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit or the Grace Hospice. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame, Manitoba in care of arrangements.
