Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN WALTER BAKER Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with lung disease, on Sunday, September 11, 2005, at 6:40 p.m., with his loving wife Paulette by his side, Steve left us to join Christ in Eternal Peace. Born February 12, 1944, in Olds, AB, Steve was predeceased by his parents and daughter Sherri. Steve is survived by his wife Paulette of 34 years; daughters, Annette, Michelle and Dawn; stepson David; five sisters, six brothers and 11 grandchildren. Steve was a hard working Truck Driver of 27 years, and ran a TAXI business in Ignace, ON, for eight years before retiring to Winnipeg in 2001. For the last three years Steve had been an active member of The Maples Evangelical Church and volunteered at S.O.G.H. spending time talking with patients. A service of remembrance will be held at The Maples Evangelical Church, 1575 Inkster Blvd., on Sunday, September 18 at 5:00 p.m. Services to be officiated by Pastor Ken Harris. Cremation and interment have already taken place. Special thanks to the doctors and staff of S.O.G.H. Intensive Care Unit for their special care and attention given to Steve.
