Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIRGINIA HOLDEN (nee MCMULLEN) March 14, 1928 - September 12, 2005 Peacefully, on Monday, September 12, 2005, in her home in Whitemouth, Virginia Holden passed away at the age of 77 years, with her good friend Harald Huege by her side. On February 28, 1948, Mum married Joe Holden. Mum and Dad lived in Burlington, ON until 1955, when they moved to East Braintree with four of the nine children they had. For a short time they lived in a home on the same property as Dad's parents. They built a house across the river which became home to five more children. Mum enjoyed reading, coffee with friends, baking bread, flowers, spending time with her grandchildren, especially Kyle who would walk across the field from school to see Grandma at lunch time. Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, George of Yukon, Vivian and Pat of Ponoka, AB, Jim and Virginia of Warren, MB, Bill and Louella, Mary and Gord, Ann and Peter, Doreen and Steve; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Joe; daughter Midge; and son Ernie. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at East Braintree Community Church, East Braintree, MB, with Pastor Jerry Spoor officiating. Viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow in East Braintree Cemetery, East Braintree, MB. Honorary pallbearer will be Edward MacMullen. Pallbearers will be Henning Hellesoe, Djon Hellesoe, Gordie Hood, Chris Wowk, David Mullins and Kyle Kowaski. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
