LORNE ROGER MORRIS (LIAM) April 27, 1944 - September 16, 2005 Following a courageous battle with cancer Liam passed away suddenly at home in the arms of his beloved Allysse. Liam was predeceased by his parents, James Morris (1991) and Vera Morris (1995). He will be lovingly remembered by Allysse Champagne-Parent and her family; aunt Marion Leggat and family; cousin Margaret (Dale) Morris - Gies; best friend Harvey Brown as well as his golfing family and friends at Players Golf Course. Liam taught in the Transcona School Division for 33 years and retired in 1999. He took great pleasure in meeting students he once taught. Liam was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing and working at Players Golf Club. Very proud of his Irish heritage, many of his friends were recipients of his favourite Irish jokes and e-mails. His thoughtfulness and his generous spirit will be missed by all those who loved him. Liam left this world feeling very loved. Thanks to Dr. Mare, CancerCare Manitoba, and the Palliative care program for all their assistance during his illness. Thanks also to all the friends who offered their prayers during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. An interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Liam's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
