Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL BEATRICE PALMER (CARMICHAEL) Pearl passed away peacefully on September 8, 2005, after a lengthy illness, at West Park Manor in Winnipeg. Born in Moose Jaw, July 22, 1917, she was raised in Regina and met her husband Ron in Lake Louise. They were married in 1941 during his leave from the navy and raised their three children in Calgary. Pearl was predeceased by her sister Eileen in childhood, her parents Hugh and Veronica and in 1989 her husband Ron. Surviving Pearl are her daughters, Judy (David) of Winnipeg, Jeanne (Fred) of Turks Caicos and son Jim of Calgary; grandsons, Michael (Sharlene), Jeff (Jenn) of Winnipeg and Ron of Calgary; great-grandson Rhylan. She is also survived by her brother Harry (Ethel) of Calgary; nephews, Kevin (Brenda), Rick (Susan, Sarah and Andrew). She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mom was an avid gardener and an accomplished athlete who excelled in golf, bowling and curling, as well as a very creative person who left samples of her art and crafts for her family to enjoy. West Park Manor became home in 1994 and while there she enjoyed the many activities and musical programs that were available. The family is grateful and extends a special thank you to the staff for the love, compassion and support they gave to her everyday while she was in their care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30 at West Park Manor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pearl's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, R3C 4G2 or West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Avenue, Winnipeg, R3R 1X2.
