ALICE ADRIENNE ROY (nee LARIVIERE) January 4, 1910 - September 17, 2005 We are sad to announce the passing of our mother Alice at the age of 95. At the time of her death, Mom lived at Misericordia Place Personal Care Home. She was born and raised in St. Boniface and later she and Dad settled in River Heights. Alice worked at Great West Life until her marriage in 1945. She and Dad then settled into the home they had built on Carpathia Crescent to raise their family. Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill in 1969; her five brothers, Gus, Alphonse, Louis, Armand and Eugene; and her two sisters, Alexandrine and Helene. She is survived by daughters, Suzanne (Ralph) Harling and Diane (John) Ford; her grandsons, Sean (Alex) Harling, Scott (Heather) Harling and Nicholas Ford. As well, Alice leaves numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff on Rose Walk 1 especially Lizanne for their care and compassion. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, southwest corner Corydon Avenue and Stafford Street. (Due to renovations at Holy Rosary Church.) Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, No. 1 Highway and Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, those who wish can make a donation in Alice's honour to CancerCare Manitoba.
