JEAN KOSTIUK (nee EWANKEWICH) August 20, 1927 - September 16, 2005 Peacefully, on Friday, September 16, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital, following a lengthy illness, our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt left this life to join our dad. Our mom, Jean, was predeceased by her infant granddaughter, Shannon (October 13, 1983) and by her loving husband, Walter (November 15, 1986). She is survived by her three sons, Ronald, Gary (Inga), Dennis (Carol); and five grandchildren, Natalie, Ronald, Christina, Jena and Tracey. Also surviving her are her two sisters, Anne MeInyck of St. Catharines, ON, and Stephanie Little (Clarke); brother Harry (Jean) Ewankewich, sister-in-law Lillian Jones; brother-in-law Bob (Marion) Kostiuk; daughter-in-law Linda and three nieces and six nephews. A memorial service and interment will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Breast Cancer Research or The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch. WE WILL MISS YOU MOM, SAY HI TO DAD FOR US.
