PETER LOUIS SINCLAIR Peter Louis Sinclair was born November 15, 1945 to Naomi Sinclair and Keno Dubois at High Rock, MB. He left High Rock to attend school in Pukatawagan, and then to Brandon. During this time he met Verna Mason and they were united in marriage on October 30, 1965. They raised their family in various mining communities throughout Canada. Pete enjoyed life as a miner but gave it up after the death of a close friend. He returned to Pukatawagan and became active within the commercial fishing industry. This led to the development of political interests, mechanical work, and his joy in discussing ECONOMICS. Pete's love of the outdoor life in the north brought him an active social life with many friends. Sadly, Pete's enjoyment of socializing brought on illness, and he passed away on September 19, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg. He was 59. He is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Verna Sinclair; special friend Tracy Nabess; sons, Allen Linklater, Pete Sinclair Jr, Johnny Sinclair, Brian McMillan, Clayton Thomas and Jason Greyeyes; daughters, Pauline McCallum, Leah Ballantyne, Michelle Sinclair. Grandchildren, Hope and Jared Linklater; Billy Caribou; Patrick and Naomi Sinclair; Jordan Sinclair; Chastity Bowers, Melissa, Axel and Jonathan Sinclair and his first great-grandchild, Amber Caribou. Sister, Sarah Wiehe and family. Pete is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family. To any who are not mentioned by name, know that you are all remembered. Pete was predeceased by his mother Naomi Sinclair, father Keno Dubois, brother John Sinclair, stepfather John Curly, grandparents John and Sarah Sinclair, Uncles John and Edward Sinclair; and Aunts Marie Hunt and Elizabeth Colomb as well as the other siblings of his mother who have passed on. Wake services are to be held: 1) Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel at 6:00 p.m., Winnipeg, MB 2) Thursday, September 22, 2005 and Friday, September 23, 2005 at Church of the Messiah, 6:00 p.m. on the Opaskwayak Indian Reserve 3) Saturday, September 24, 2005 6:00 p.m. at the community hall, Pukatawagan, MB.
