Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN THOMAS WILSON July 28, 1948 - September 15, 2005 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother at Maple Ridge, BC at the age of 57. He died peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie; daughters, Claire and Emily; his father Al; sister Bernice (Jim); brother Rick (Diane) and several nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his mother Doris (1981); stepmother Dolly (2004); sister Sharron (1946) and nephew Jason (1988). Born in Winnipeg, Al graduated from Churchill High School in 1967 and obtained his B.A. from the University of Manitoba in 1972. He studied at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia where he obtained his diploma in Education. Al moved to British Columbia and worked for 28 years with the Canada Border Services Agency. He loved being involved with his daughters' activities involving dance, soccer and baseball. His family in Manitoba were grateful to have had Al and his family visit Winnipeg in 2003 for his niece's wedding. He will be fondly remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest and as a loving husband and father. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held in Maple Ridge on Sunday, September 25. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
